A Rajini interview is always a super-special event for his millions of fans around the globe. Usually, Rajini doesn’t attend or involve himself in the promotional events related to his films. The simple reason is this: such is the stardom of Rajini is that his films hardly need ‘promotion’. Rajini, who stays away from interviews to the print and television media, would soon be appearing on Jaya TV to talk about Kochadaiiyaan.
When Enthiran: The Robot released a few years back, Rajini had spoken elaborately to Sun TV about his experiences in starring in the film. The interview not only gave a whole lot of information about the film but also helped in publicizing Enthiran which broke many a record at the box-office. Now that Kochadaiiyaan, India’s first animation film in 3-D mode is gearing up for release, Rajini is back on TV for an interview.
Unlike Rajini’s other films, Kochadaiiyaan has been filmed after recording Rajini’s body movements and merging them in the animated form and filming it using the ‘motion capture’ technology. This is the first such film to be release in the country in 3-D mode. However, it is imperative to ‘prepare’ Rajini’s fans to watch and enjoy the film. Though it’s a Rajini film, it’s not a ‘live action film’ and Rajini is keen to drive home this point with his fans and the audiences.
Speaking at the audio-launch of Kochadaiiyaan recently, directors K.S.Ravikumar and Shankar and actor Sarath Kumar felt that though it’s a Rajini film, it is made in ‘motion capture’ technology and if the fans come into the halls with such a mind-set, they would thoroughly enjoy the film. Rajini was interviewed by comedian Vivek and sat for the recording of the interview at the Jaya TV Studio yesterday.
Jaya TV, which also secured the broadcast rights of the audio-launch of Kochadiyaan, is likely to broadcast Rajini’s interview on the Tamil New Year day on 14th April.
