Ajith plays the hero and the villain in Menon’s film?

Taking cue from superstar Rajinikanth, Ajith is all set to play a full-fledged hero and a villain in his upcoming untitled venture with Gautham Menon. We had earlier reported that Ajith and Menon are coming together for the new film which has Ajith essaying a cop’s role. It now turns out that Ajith plays the villain too in the film.

Ajith has been pumping hard at the gym to acquire a tough physique for his cop’s role in the film. He is said to have shed as many as 8 kilos so far; sources close to him say that he would be sporting an 8-pack abs look in the film. Ajith is to essay dual roles in the film; the second role besides the cop’s role would be that of the villain in the film.

It’s not for the first time, though, that Ajith would be essaying a negative character on screen: he had done so with aplomb in films such as Vaali, Villan, Attagasam, Asal and Mankatha. The film is expected to go to the floors soon. Menon, who hadn’t been on talking terms with Harris Jayaraj for some time, has brought Harris back to score the music of the film.

Ajith and Vijay are set for a Deepavali clash at the box-office, which would be their second such clash this year after their Pongal clash witnessed Ajith’s Veeram and Vijay’s Jilla releasing on the same day and turning out to be successful.
