Vadivelu’s Tenaliraman release postponed to April 18?

Finally, sense appears to be prevailing with the makers of Vadivelu’s comeback film titled as Tenaliraman (the film was titled earlier as Jagajala Pujabala Thenaliraman) as they have decided to postpone the release of the film by a week so to avert a box-office clash with superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming 3-D animation venture Kochadaiiyaan which is scheduled to release on 11th April the world over.

Vadivelu plays dual roles of the king and his minister in the film, which marks his comeback in Kollywood. The film was to release earlier on 11th April but the makers have now decided to postpone the film’s release by a week to release it on 18th April. Vadivelu, who campaigned for the DMK alliance which was routed in 2011 Assembly polls, was boycotted by Kollywood for more than three years.



He is now attempting to make a comeback with Thenaliraman which is a period-type comedy venture on the lines of Vadivelu’s earlier film Imsai Arasan 23-m Pulikesi. Yuvaraj Dayalan has directed the film and has also penned its story, screenplay and dialogues. Dayalan has informed that the film’s release has been postponed by a week to release on 18th April.

Meenakshi Dixit has played the heroine in the film which has the likes of Manobala, Radharavi, G.M. Kumar, Balasingh, Mansoor Ali Khan and Devadarshini essaying prominent roles.
