Queried by a scribe as to whether he was aware of the fact that Nayanthara, with whom he was madly in love with more than a couple of years back, is pairing up opposite ex-flame Simbu in her upcoming film Idhu Namma Aalu, Prabhu Deva said that he has no time at all to follow the developments taking place in Kollywood.
“Nowadays, I have completely become a Mumbaikar. My life has taken a very different route than the one in which it was proceeding a few years back. Even when I was residing in Tamil Nadu, I never followed as to what was been happening in Kollywood; nowadays, I don’t have time for it.
“My entire concentration is focused on making films. I don’t know who pairs up opposite whom in which film. My day starts as early as at 0700 in the morning and ends around midnight or at 0100 a.m. leaving me very little time to catch some sleep. I breathe, think and live cinema and don’t have time to devote to knowing about the happenings in other language film industries,” he said.
To another query, he replied that there wasn’t any particular reason for Sonakshi Sinha to be starring in his consecutive films. “I want my heroines to possess a typical ‘Indian’ look and feel Sonakshi fits the bill perfectly than many others in Bollywood. I have a lot to achieve in films. I’m only making commercial films and want to make films of other genre.
“I want to make films which grip people in an emotional manner and whose scripts penetrate their hearts. I also want to make films such as The Lord of the Rings and Spiderman,” he concluded.
