Anushka, Sonakshi opposite Rajini in K.S. Ravikumar film?

Even as superstar Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan, the first-ever 3-D animation film in the country, gets ready to hit the screens next week all over the world, reports have started trickling in as to what could be his next film. It is said that K.S. Ravikumar, who has had a very successful association with Rajini for the past two decades, would be directing Rajini’s next film.

Though Rajini hasn’t officially announced anything about it, sources close to K.S. Ravikumar assure on condition of anonymity that it would be Ravikumar who would be directing the film. Anushka and Bollywood’s Sonakshi Sinha are to be Rajini’s two heroines in the film as Rajini is to portray dual roles in the film, it is further informed.

Ravikumar’s Muthu and Padaiyappa, which featured Rajini and released in the nineties, were colossal hits and had Rajini essaying dual roles. Sentimentally, K.S. Ravikumar wants to maintain the trend of dual roles by Rajini and has accordingly prepared his script which Rajini has approved. A.R. Rahman would be scoring the film’s music which would have all its lyrics penned by Vairamuthu.

Cinamatographer R. Rathnavelu, who had done a phenomenal work in Rajinii’s super-duper hit Enthiran: The Robot and who is fondly referred to as ‘Randy’ by Rajini, would be the cinematographer of this as-yet-untitled venture. The film is likely to go to the floors in Chennai with a formal muhurat on 20th May. The following day, Rajini and the rest of the crew members would leave for Mysore.
