Rajini thanks God for being part of Kochadaiiyaan

Speaking at the trailer and audio launch of the Hindi version of Kochadaiiyaan in Mumbai on the other day, superstar Rajinikanth said very humbly that he knew nothing about the technology used in the film. “I am thankful to God for making me a part of the film. Despite now knowing about the film’s technology, I feature in India’s first ever film made using ‘motion capture’ technology which is only God’s will,” he said.

“It was a challenge for me,” said Rajini, the actor in India with the highest percentage of hit films to his credit. “It wasn’t the usual film, for sure. It gave me a good experience. I also got to watch up-close many actors and actresses. I’m extremely happy and proud to note that my little daughter Soundarya, who has directed the film, is being lauded and appreciated by all.

“When she was a kid, she used to read the ‘Amarchitra’ series of comics with great interest. She still wants to make a film out of those stories. I’m sure my fans and movie-goers would patronize Soundarya’s maiden effort as a film-maker,” concluded Rajini, who looked awesome in formal attire.

Soundarya said that Kochadaiiyan was a dream venture for her. “I submit to all of you my dream of many years. Motion capture technology which is used widely in Hollywood films has been used in the making of Kochadaiiyaan. It’s not a cartoon film but an animation film in 3-D mode. Unfortunately, most of us don’t take animation seriously. I’m sure the trend would change once Kochadaiiyaan releases and succeeds at the box-office,” she said.
